In House Contract Manager ()

Review sales, distribution, private labeling, co-packaging, and related commercial agreements for a specialty Italian food import company and prepare recommendations to senior management regarding contract modifications and amendments. Conduct legal research concerning the importation, labeling, marketing, sale, transportation, and distribution of food products in the United States, including analysis of Food and Drug Administration regulations and FDA labeling requirements. Research international, federal, state, and local laws, governmental compliance regulations, and agency practices relevant to food imports and domestic distribution and marketing. Monitor and evaluate changes in applicable laws and regulations and assesses their impact on company operations. Serve as an internal resource advising business teams on the applicability of laws and regulations affecting supplier relationships, distribution arrangements, and transportation of regulated food products.

Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelors degree in Law or a related field plus two (2) years of experience in the job offered or as a Law Clerk, Contracts Analyst or a closely related position. Must have experience with the following:

Conducting legal research and analysis related to food importation and distribution
Reviewing, drafting, or revising commercial contracts, including supplier and distribution agreements; and,
Applying FDA regulations and food labeling requirements to commercial agreements and business operations.
