HVAC Technician (Commercial)

Direct Hire Company Vehicle Provided Home-Based/Mobile Position

About the Opportunity:

Our client is seeking a Commercial HVAC Technician to support commercial facilities throughout the Salt Lake City area. This is a mobile position where you'll dispatch directly from home using a company-provided vehicle-no personal truck required.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on commercial HVAC and building systems.
• Complete scheduled maintenance and service work with minimal disruption to building occupants.
• Diagnose mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and basic electrical issues.
• Perform minor plumbing repairs, fixture replacements, drain clearing, and leak repairs.
• Complete general building maintenance including ceiling tiles, flooring, doors, painting, pressure washing, and other facility repairs.
• Utilize the CMMS work order system to document completed work and manage daily assignments.
• Maintain accurate service documentation and preventative maintenance records.
• Maintain company tools, equipment, and inventory.
• Escort outside vendors performing maintenance or repair work.
• Identify safety concerns and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and occasional after-hours service calls.

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of HVAC, facilities maintenance, building maintenance, or related experience.
• Commercial HVAC experience preferred but residential experience is welcomed.
• EPA Universal or EPA 608 Certification preferred (not required).
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office, smartphones, and CMMS software.
• Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently while providing excellent customer service.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working on rooftops and in varying weather conditions.

• Commercial office buildings
• Multi-tenant facilities
• Building Automation Systems (BAS/BMS)
• HVAC certification
• Electrical troubleshooting
• OSHA safety training
• Forklift or aerial lift certification
• Blueprint and schematic reading
• General carpentry and construction knowledge

Schedule:

• Monday - Friday
• 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
• On-call rotation required
