HVAC Installation Technician

BFX Home is looking for an experienced, reliable, and EPA Certified HVAC Installer to handle full-season residential replacement and installation projects across the Chicago area.

You will be responsible for the safe and efficient removal and installation of residential central air conditioning systems and furnaces for all seasons.

Key Responsibilities:

• AC & Furnace Replacements: Tear out old equipment and install new central air conditioning units, heat pumps, and gas/electric furnaces.

• Refrigerant Handling: Recover, evacuate, and charge refrigerants in compliance with EPA Section 608 regulations.

• Ductwork & Venting: Modify, connect, and seal ductwork, gas lines, and flues to meet safety codes.

• System Testing: Perform startup procedures, test electrical circuits, and calibrate thermostats to ensure optimal system performance and efficiency.

• Code Compliance: Adhere strictly to the Illinois Energy Conservation Code, local municipal mechanical codes, and company quality standards.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Certification: Valid EPA Universal Certification (Section 608) is strictly required.

• Experience: Minimum 2+ years of hands-on residential HVAC installation experience.

• Tools & Transport: Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation (company vehicle/van setup negotiable).

• Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude, ability to read blueprints/schematics, and excellent customer service and communication skills.
