HVAC Helper

The HVAC Helper assists HVAC Technicians and Installers in the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to build a long-term career in the HVAC industry through hands-on experience and training.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist technicians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems and related equipment
• Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment from company vehicles
• Stock, organize, and maintain inventory of supplies and equipment
• Cut, drill, and prepare openings for installation work
• Carry and lift equipment and materials (up to 100 lbs.) as needed
• Maintain clean and safe work areas, including job sites, vehicles, and warehouses
• Follow all company policies, safety guidelines, and supervisor instructions
• Support field crews by retrieving tools, parts, and materials during installations and service calls
• Perform basic measurements, plumbing, and assembly tasks under supervision
• Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently

Required Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screening
• Clean background check
• Willingness to attend training seminars and classes to improve skills and knowledge
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Willingness to invest in personal hand tools used for HVAC service work
• Physical ability to perform manual labor, including:
• • Continuous walking, standing, climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching
  • Working in attics, crawl spaces, and outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Lifting up to 100 pounds

Preferred Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of HVAC systems and tools
• Familiarity with basic plumbing and electrical concepts
• Previous construction or mechanical experience
