Human Resources Assistant (manufacturing) Location: Lynchburg, VA Shift: Mon - Fri ; 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Type: contract-to-hire About the Company: Our client is a full-service structural steel fabricator that excels in safely and seamlessly building complex projects on time and on budget. Serving clients throughout the East Coast in various end markets including office towers, event centers, stadiums, airports, healthcare, education, data centers, transportation, and manufacturing. Key Responsibilities: - Assist with administering employee policies. - Support the HR department in implementing programs to help improve the employee experience. - Performs a wide range of duties related to the maintenance and processing of personnel records and reports. - Coordinate and support employee engagement events and company functions, including planning logistics, managing vendor communication, tracking RSVPs, and assisting with setup and breakdown. - Interacts with and supplies information to job applicants, employees, department heads, public and private agencies and all BSC visitors. - Provides clerical and operational support to other HR staff. - Maintains high standards of confidentiality of all employee records and information. You can access our privacy policy at - Proven experience as an HR Assistant, staff assistant, or relevant human resources/administrative position. - Solid understanding of MS Office - Knowledge and experience with administrative and clerical processes and procedures - Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines. - Ability to maintain confidentiality. Additional Considerations: - Bilingual (English/Spanish) - Degree in related field - Experience with HRIS systems
