Glick Management LLC is seeking an experienced Human Resources & Payroll Manager to lead and manage the organizations HR, payroll, and workplace safety functions. This hands-on role is responsible for supporting the full employee lifecycle, including payroll processing, benefits administration, compliance, employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, safety program coordination, OSHA compliance, and other HR-related functions. Serving as the primary HR contact for employees and leadership, this position will independently manage day-to-day HR operations while helping ensure consistent, compliant, safe, and effective people practices across all company locations. Responsibilities of the position include: Partner with leadership on employee relations matters, including coaching, performance management, corrective action, and discipline. Serve as the primary point of contact for HR-related questions from employees and leadership, including policies, payroll, benefits, time off, and compensation. Develop, administer, and maintain HR policies, procedures, programs, job descriptions, personnel files, and related documentation to support accurate, consistent, and compliant people practices. Manage payroll and HRIS-related processes, including Payroll Partners system administration, time review, PTO tracking, payroll exceptions, benefit changes, and payroll-related reporting. Administer employee benefits, compensation, workers compensation claims, unemployment claims, and performance management programs. Manage recruiting and selection activities from job posting through hire, including onboarding and new-hire orientation. Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state employment laws and regulations. Serve as the companys Safety Program Coordinator, overseeing workplace safety and OSHA compliance across all company locations. Facilitate safety committee meetings every other month, coordinate workplace inspections and OSHA visits, maintain Safety Data Sheets and required safety records, and manage workplace injury and near-miss investigations. Coordinate employee safety training, monitor corrective actions, and maintain written safety and emergency-response programs. Partner with department managers, employees, insurance representatives, Ohio BWC, and qualified outside professionals to identify hazards, address safety concerns, and promote safe working conditions throughout the company. Prepare and process employee termination paperwork and related documentation. Prepare, review, and distribute reports, forms, correspondence, and other business documents. Assist with reimbursement requests, expense vouchers, office supply coordination, and other basic administrative or financial records as needed. Maintain a professional, organized, and welcoming office environment. Perform additional administrative and HR duties as needed. Requirements of this position include: High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, including hands-on payroll processing experience; required. Experience supporting employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, performance management, and employment compliance. Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices. Experience with Payroll Partners or a similar payroll/HRIS system preferred. Knowledge of workplace safety programs, OSHA compliance, safety documentation, and employee safety training preferred. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism. Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with employees, managers, and leadership. Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of the day-to-day HR function.
