Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic

Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic In addition to making repairs, you will also be responsible for performing preventative maintenance on heavy equipment, construction vehicles, diesel engines, brakes, transmission, and other systems. Applicants need a valid commercial driver's license (CDL) and must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.

Mechanic Duties and Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair issues in diesel engines
• Diagnose and repair issues with hydraulics, brakes, transmission, steering, and other systems
• Perform preventative maintenance
• Perform welding or fabrication tasks on trailers and other equipment as necessary
• Prepare work orders and order parts
• Maintain a clean and safe workplace

Mechanic Requirements and Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED certificate (preferred)
• Valid driver's license (CDL strongly preferred.
• Experience with diesel engine repair
• Welding experience required
• Mechanical skills
• Basic computer skills
• Basic math skills
