Heavy Diesel Mechanic

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead diesel Mechanic to join our team. As the Lead Mechanic, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of heavy machinery and semi trucks. This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to effectively manage a team.

Duties
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on heavy machinery
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles and equipment to identify any potential problems or safety hazards
- Order parts
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies

Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school or certification preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a diesel mechanic on heavy machinery
- Strong knowledge of diesel mechanics
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor team members
