Central Texas Recruiting is seeking a senior healthcare engineering leader to help grow and lead a multidisciplinary healthcare practice in Houston. This role combines mechanical engineering expertise, project direction, client development, business development, and team leadership while overseeing complex healthcare projects from concept design through construction administration and systems commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

Lead multidisciplinary teams in the design and execution of healthcare projects
Develop and maintain strong healthcare client relationships
Identify new business opportunities and support business growth
Manage project budgets, schedules, resources, and financial performance
Lead project teams as Project Manager or Project Director
Serve as Lead Engineer or Engineer of Record on key projects
Supervise and mentor engineering teams
Present technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
Ensure compliance with technical, contractual, and regulatory requirements
Promote sustainable design practices throughout healthcare projects
Support project delivery from concept design through construction administration and commissioning

Qualifications & Requirements

15+ years of professional engineering experience
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering
Significant hospital design experience from concept through construction administration and commissioning
Experience leading medium- to large-scale project teams
Proven leadership in mechanical design
Strong client relationship and business development skills
PE license in Texas
Excellent communication, planning, organizational, and leadership skills
Ability to manage project financials, schedules, and resources
