Fund Accountant

The Fund Accountant plays a critical individual contributor role focused on accurate financial reporting and portfolio reconciliation within real estate funds. This position requires expertise in cash management, expense tracking, and compliance monitoring while utilizing tools such as Yardi and Microsoft Excel. The role also supports executive-level assistance and involves occasional travel to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct financial reporting and regulatory reporting for real estate funds
• Perform portfolio reconciliations and general ledger maintenance
• Manage cash flow and track fund expenses
• Monitor compliance with financial policies and regulations
• Prepare and deliver client reporting on fund performance
• Analyze investment data to support accounting accuracy
• Provide executive assistance as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in fund accounting
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Strong knowledge of fund accounting and reconciliation processes
• Advanced MS Excel skills
• Proficient in financial analysis
• Excellent attention to detail and time management
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills
