Work Environment
Our rehabilitation facility is centered on patient care and innovation, outfitted with advanced technology and a supportive atmosphere that fosters collaboration among healthcare professionals. As part of a caring team of specialists, you will work closely with physicians and other healthcare providers to deliver tailored therapeutic interventions. The working schedule is Monday through Friday from 2 PM to 8 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered physical therapy by managing the comprehensive therapeutic care of an assigned patient group, collaborating effectively with physicians and care teams.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to inform the development and implementation of individualized care plans aimed at achieving specific health goals and enhancing patient engagement.
- Deliver and supervise physical therapy interventions that promote healing and functional improvement, closely following the physician's prescribed plan of care.
- Utilize evidence-based methodologies to assess and evaluate patients' rehabilitative needs, ensuring the delivery of personalized care strategies.
- Offer skilled therapeutic care directly in patients' homes when necessary, adapting treatments to optimize recovery outcomes.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on the use of therapeutic exercises, equipment, and other interventions necessary for continued progress outside of therapy sessions.
- Prioritize and manage caseloads efficiently, determining daily staffing needs while facilitating smooth case hand-offs and team collaboration.
Patient Population / Client Focus
You will be serving a diverse patient population that includes both children and adults, each with unique recovery needs related to orthopedic conditions, post-surgical rehabilitation, or chronic pain management. Your interventions will be pivotal in helping individuals regain function, improve mobility, and achieve their personal health goals.
Qualifications
- A valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of California.
- A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree is required.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
- No prior experience is required, making this an excellent opportunity for recent graduates.
Preferred Experience
While no experience is necessary, clinical rotations or internships in orthopedic settings and exposure to various therapeutic techniques will enhance your candidacy. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems would also be beneficial in streamlining patient documentation and care management.
