Field Service Technician

Our industrial repair client in the Punxsutawney, PA area is seeking a Field Service Technician to travel to client sites and repair their machinery. -Install, wire, commission, and troubleshoot automated industrial machinery, including electrical, controls, hydraulic, and mechanical systems. -Design, build, and debug electrical control panels in compliance with NEC and NFPA standards, ensuring quality and dimensional accuracy of all components. -Read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics, wiring diagrams, technical drawings, and control panel layouts. -Program, modify, and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and industrial control systems using ladder logic and related programming methods. -Configure and diagnose industrial communication networks (Ethernet/IP, Modbus) and support motor control systems including VFDs, starters, relays, transformers, breakers, switches, and sensors. -Build, test, calibrate, and validate hydraulic systems, including hose and line assembly, pressure checks, flushing, and leak testing. -Utilize diagnostic tools (e.g., multimeters) to troubleshoot AC/DC systems and provide remote and on-site technical support, including modem/VPN connectivity assistance. -Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams; maintain technical documentation; adhere to safety standards; and travel as required for installations, commissioning, service work, and project deadlines (including overtime/weekends as needed). -High School Diploma or GED required -Two-year technical degree or equivalent experience preferred -1-3 years of experience working with hydraulic systems -PLC Ladder Logic Required -Experience with Rockwell Automation software (RSLogix 500, PanelBuilder, FactoryTalk) -Familiarity with NEC standards -Able to lift up to 50 pounds By applying for this job, you agree to receive calls, Al-generated calls, text messages, or emails from Synerfac Technical Staffing and our contracted partners.
