Fiber Technician

Job Description Job Description All Qualifications Are Preferred Training will be provided if needed.

Check light levels on future installs and trouble shoot accordingly if failing light level.
Perform cable and fiber installation work including splicing fiber
Terminate, splice, and install a variety of fiber optic connectors and enclosures including both loose tube fiber and ribbon fiber
Proficient in using fiber tools and fiber optic test equipment including fusion splicers, OTDR, VFL's and other fiber equipment.
Ability to troubleshoot damaged fiber, effectively and efficiently
Ability to read, understand and update splice documentation and maps

Perform construction activities, including, pulling new cable/fiber through conduits.
