Experienced Optometric Biller

Description:
We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and highly organized Optometric Medical Biller to join our growing boutique optometric practice. This position is ideal for a motivated professional with a strong understanding of medical and vision insurance billing, and claims management. The ideal candidate takes pride in accuracy, problem-solving, and maximizing practice revenue while maintaining the highest level of professionalism and integrity.Key Responsibilities:Submit accurate and timely medical and vision insurance claimsReview, reconcile, and post insurance payments, adjustments, and patient paymentsInvestigate, correct, and resubmit denied or rejected claims promptlyFollow up on outstanding insurance balances and aging accounts receivableVerify patient insurance eligibility and benefits when neededEnsure accurate coding using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS guidelinesMaintain compliance with payer policies and government regulationsWork insurance correspondence, requests for additional information, and appealsIdentify billing trends, errors, and opportunities to improve reimbursementCollaborate with providers and front office staff to resolve documentation and billing issuesMaintain accurate patient account records within the Practice Management and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systemsAssist with daily and month-end reporting and other revenue cycle responsibilities as assigned

Requirements:
