The Role

As our Executive Sous Chef, you will work hand-in-hand with the Executive Chef to drive daily kitchen operations and service execution. You will not only cook on the line and lead the back-of-house team, but you will also have the creative freedom to develop specials that highlight seasonal ingredients and contribute to our seasonal menu planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Culinary Creativity: Develop exciting daily/weekly specials utilizing fresh seasonal ingredients and contribute ideas for upcoming seasonal menu rollouts.
  • Kitchen Leadership: Recruit, onboard, train, schedule, and supervise back-of-house staff. Lead kitchen staff during shifts to ensure all quality, portioning, and presentation standards are strictly met.
  • Line Execution: Cook on the line alongside your team, maintaining food quality, consistency, and precise timing during fast-paced service.
  • Operational Management: Assist with prep planning, inventory management, ordering, and product rotation. Manage labor costs, minimize food waste, and maximize overall kitchen efficiency.
  • Safety & Compliance: Monitor food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness throughout the kitchen, adhering to all health department regulations and brand standards.

What We Are Looking For

  • Experienced Sous Chefs or Executive Sous Chefs with a background in high-volume, scratch-kitchen, or farm-to-table environments.
  • Strong leaders who can step in to resolve issues during service and maintain a smooth operational flow.
  • Excellent communicators who can seamlessly collaborate with the chef, kitchen team, servers, and management.
