Entry Level Transportation Safety Assistant & CMV Recruiting

We are seeking an organized, highly motivated Entry-Level FMCSA Safety Assistant to join our logistics team. In this role, you will receive hands-on training to manage the vital paperwork, digital files, and daily compliance tracking required by the Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). Core Responsibilities

• Driver Records Tracking: Review, organize, and update Driver Qualification (DQ) files, tracking upcoming expiration dates for driver's licenses and DOT medical cards.
• Log Auditing Support: Review Electronic Logging Device (ELD) reports daily to flag missing logs, unassigned drive time, or clear Hours of Service (HOS) violations.
• Drug & Alcohol Coordination: Assist in administering the pre-employment drug screening process and help update driver statuses within the federal FMCSA Clearinghouse portal.
• Inspection Data Entry: Log roadside inspection reports and Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs) into our internal maintenance tracking software.
• Administrative File Upkeep: Maintain digital and physical files for fleet accidents, insurance certificates, and company safety materials.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree is a plus but not required.
• Experience: 0-1 years of professional experience. Experience in general office administration, customer service, or dispatching is preferred.
• Key Skills: High proficiency with Microsoft Office (specifically Excel and Word), fast data entry skills, and a strong eye for detail.
• Attributes: A cooperative team player who is eager to learn complex federal regulations and follow strict guidelines.
