Johnson Service Group (JSG) is a nationally recognized professional staffing and recruiting firm that is looking for a degreed Engineer to fill a four-month contract assignment in the Birmingham, AL area. This is an estimated duration.

This position may require some bending, lifting, climbing, prolonged sitting, prolonged walking, walking on gravel or crawling when necessary.

Work Location: Birmingham, AL
Requirements:

US Citizenship
The selected candidate will support engineering evaluations for Plant Hatch and Vogtle Nuclear Plants.
0-5 years of related experience and an accredited bachelor's degree.
Entry Level will be considered.
Electrical, Mechanical Engineers preferred. Aerospace, Biomedical and Chemical Engineers will be considered based on background and experience.

Skillsets and expertise:
• Introductory engineering knowledge
• Basic problem-solving skills
• Limited discretion making independent decisions based on procedure and review with supervisor
• Basic discipline software knowledge
• Strong work ethic
• Positive attitude
• The ability to build effective relationships
• Responsibilities include:
• Applying engineering processes, design criteria, and software applications to support resolution of open engineering issues
• Support completion of Comprehensive System Reviews, and support engineering evaluations supporting Nuclear Plants
• Creating a safe work environment by putting safety first
• Following established engineering principles
• Executing assigned work with quality
