Position Overview and Qualifications

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for coordinating and providing high-quality, patient-focused care tailored to the specific needs of the department, adhering to the relevant state regulations and professional standards. Working alongside medical professionals and other care team members, the RN delivers personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care by employing established nursing frameworks such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." The RN acts as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organization's vision, mission, and values to enhance patient experiences and clinical outcomes, thereby contributing to overall departmental success.

  • Regularly evaluates patient pain to ensure effective pain management, including follow-up assessments after interventions.
  • Executes procedures, monitoring, or other tasks as directed by medical providers, ensuring timely and thorough documentation of care in the patient's medical record.
  • Delivers exceptional care by promptly addressing patient requests and proactively anticipating their needs.
  • Educates patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, potential side effects, and follow-up care, simplifying complex medical terms for better understanding.
  • Instructs patients, families, and caregivers on non-pharmaceutical follow-up strategies, such as healthy eating, exercise, disease prevention, and lifestyle modifications, preparing them for future self-management.

Required Qualifications:


  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 6 months of starting employment.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be acquired within 30 days of starting employment.
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training must be completed within 90 days of starting employment.
  • PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification must be obtained within 1 year of starting employment.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license is required.
  • Associate Degree is necessary.
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course or TNCC Instructor certification must be obtained within 6 months of starting employment.
  • At least 1 year of experience in an Emergency Room is strongly preferred.
