Locum Emergency Medicine APP (PA/NP) Opportunity

New York State Capital Region Near Albany

Delphi Healthcare is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) for a locum Emergency Medicine assignment at a well-established community hospital in New York's Capital Region. This opportunity offers the chance to work in a busy Emergency Department alongside experienced emergency physicians and a collaborative clinical team while enjoying easy access to Albany and the surrounding region.

Assignment Details

• Initial 13-week assignment with opportunity for extension
• Long-term coverage needs available
• 12-hour shifts
• Busy Emergency Department environment
• Adult and pediatric patient population
• Travel and lodging assistance available for qualified providers outside the area

Compensation

• $115-$125 per hour, based on experience

Position Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and evaluations
• Order and interpret diagnostic testing
• Develop and implement treatment plans for acute and urgent medical conditions
• Manage a broad spectrum of emergency presentations
• Collaborate closely with Emergency Medicine physicians, nurses, and support staff
• Accurately document patient encounters within the electronic medical record (EMR)

Qualifications

• Active New York State PA or NP license
• Minimum 3 years of Emergency Medicine experience preferred
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required
• PALS certification preferred
• Strong procedural and clinical decision-making skills
• Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced Emergency Department
