Green Mountain Solar, VT's leader in solar energy, is expanding rapidly. We are seeking a VT Journeyman Electrician or Master Electrician to join our team. If you are from Maine and looking to relocate, we would love to hear from you too!

Position Summary

The Journeyman or Master Electrician works with a solar PV installation team in both residential and commercial settings to provide support of electrical equipment, solar and battery installation, loading/unloading equipment, installing conduit, roof wiring, and cable management duties.

Compensation is based on experience.

Qualifications

• Must have an exemplary working knowledge of the National Electric Codes (NEC)
• Journeyman license required.
• Master license desired.
• GED or High School Diploma.
• OSHA 10 card, or ability to obtain it.
• Must have and maintain a clean and valid driver's record.
• Professional appearance and strong customer relation skills are essential
• Must be able to comfortably lift 75 lbs, climb ladders, work on roofs and in crawl spaces, and work outside in during both hot and cold temperatures
• Familiarity with hand tools and basic construction techniques.
• Ability to work well with and manage others in a collaborative team environment.
• Excellent attendance is crucial for the team to achieve success.
• Drug-free work environment

Job Type: Full-time, in person

Pay:

Journeyman Electrician - up to $44 per hour

Master Electrician - up to $50 per hour
