Electrician Journeyman

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across a variety of commercial, industrial, and renovation projects. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical work complies with safety standards, including the National Electrical Code (NEC), and meets project specifications. Duties

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems using hand tools, power tools, schematics, and blueprints.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to accurately execute wiring layouts and system configurations.
• Work with low voltage systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and high voltage equipment to support industrial and commercial applications.
• Conduct routine inspections using tools such as ohmmeters to ensure electrical integrity and safety compliance.
• Collaborate with construction teams on site to coordinate electrical installations during renovation or new construction projects.
• Follow all safety protocols in accordance with NEC standards and local regulations while working on construction sites or in occupied facilities.
• Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex electrical issues efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment while ensuring all work is completed within project timelines.

Experience

• Proven experience as a licensed Journeyman Electrician with a strong background in industrial, commercial, or renovation projects.
• Hands-on experience working on construction sites with familiarity in framing carpentry and general handyman tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately.
• Knowledge of low voltage systems, high voltage wiring practices, and NEC compliance standards.
• Skilled in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers; power tools including drills and saws; as well as testing equipment like ohmmeters.
• Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and industrial electrical systems is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with schematics interpretation for troubleshooting electrical circuits effectively.
• Ability to adapt quickly to different environments-whether on renovation sites or new construction projects-and work safely at heights or in confined spaces when necessary.
