Electrical Engineer - Hybrid

Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for a Senior Project Engineer in Evanston, IL. This permanent hybrid role offers 3 days onsite and 2 days remote. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex infrastructure-focused projects while collaborating closely with project managers, technical leadership, and multidisciplinary engineering teams. The ideal candidate is a technically strong electrical engineer who enjoys mentoring junior staff, interacting with clients, and contributing to the successful delivery of challenging projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for healthcare, higher education, commercial, hospitality, laboratory, and pharmaceutical facilities
• Prepare designs for lighting, power distribution, emergency power, low-voltage, and fire alarm systems
• Perform electrical load calculations, short circuit studies, equipment sizing, and infrastructure assessments
• Conduct field surveys and existing conditions investigations
• Prepare construction drawings and specifications using AutoCAD and Revit
• Support construction administration activities and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams
• Lead projects, mentor junior engineers, and participate in client meetings

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline
• 8+ years of electrical engineering design experience in an MEP consulting firm, AE firm, design-build contractor, or similar environment
• Experience designing building electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and emergency power
• Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit
• Healthcare project experience strongly preferred
• PE license preferred
