Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Engineer / Engineering Technician to support the installation, commissioning, and startup of manufacturing equipment and facility infrastructure within a large-scale industrial manufacturing environment. This role will be responsible for supporting capital projects, coordinating contractors, troubleshooting electrical systems, and ensuring equipment is successfully integrated into production operations.

The ideal candidate will have experience with industrial electrical systems, power distribution, equipment installation, commissioning, and contractor coordination in a manufacturing or industrial construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support installation, startup, commissioning, and integration of manufacturing equipment and electrical systems.
• Review electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Coordinate and oversee contractors and subcontractors during construction, installation, and commissioning activities.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems including motors, control circuits, relay logic, wiring, servo drives, and industrial equipment.
• Support machine trials, equipment testing, and validation activities.
• Evaluate installation quality, identify deficiencies, develop corrective action plans, and track issues through resolution.
• Perform equipment inspections and verify compliance with applicable safety and engineering standards.
• Assist with modifications and continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability, safety, and operational performance.
• Support project schedules, startup milestones, and production readiness activities.
• Document completed work, technical findings, and commissioning results.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in industrial manufacturing, electrical construction, commissioning, maintenance, or controls engineering.
• Experience with electrical equipment installation, modification, troubleshooting, and optimization.
• Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems and power distribution.
• Experience reading and interpreting electrical drawings, schematics, and construction documents.
• Experience coordinating contractors, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
• Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA, OSHA, and industrial safety standards.
• Experience troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to support equipment startup, commissioning, and production launch activities.
• Strong problem-solving, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and technical documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field.
• Experience supporting greenfield or brownfield manufacturing facility projects.
• Experience in automotive, battery, semiconductor, heavy industrial, or high-volume manufacturing environments.
• Experience with controls systems, PLCs, automation equipment, and servo drives.
• Experience supporting capital projects from installation through production startup.
• Experience analyzing quality or operational data to identify root causes and drive improvements.
