Role Description The Groomer is a part-time or full-time on-site role based in Charlotte, NC, responsible for the daily care and comfort of animals in the facility. This role includes bathing, grooming, teeth cleaning, nail trimming and monitoring their behavior and wellbeing, and promptly reporting any concerns to leadership. Responsibilities also include safe animal handling during transfers, assisting with check-in and pick-up, and communicating clearly with team members and pet guardians. Weekend, holiday, and occasional evening shifts may be required to support consistent animal care.
Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong Animal Care and Pet Care skills, including safe handling, and monitoring of animal health and behavior.
Candidates should possess practical Animal Handling abilities, with comfort working with pets of various sizes, breeds, and temperaments.
Candidates should possess reliable Laundry and basic cleaning skills in the grooming area.
Candidates should possess clear Communication skills for interacting with team members and pet guardians in a professional, respectful manner.
Ability to perform physically active work, including lifting up to medium weights, standing for extended periods, and working in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated reliability, attention to detail, and compassion toward animals; prior experience in a kennel, shelter, or veterinary setting is preferred but not required.
Availability for FT and/or PT, including some weekends and holidays; must be authorized to work in the United States.
MUST have 2-3 years of grooming experience.
