Dock Worker / Forklift Operator

Our company is currently seeking an experienced and highly skilled Dock Worker / Forklift Operator. Our Dockworkers successfully load and unload freight throughout the shift using a sit down forklift in a safe, efficient manner. Will perform work associated with warehousing, material handling, and other related duties as assigned. Dockworkers are critical members of our team; they help to accurately deliver our customer's freight and help keep our promises.

Day Shift - 7:00am-3:30pm

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight on trailers using a motorized sit down forklift, in compliance with state and federal OSHA guidelines. Use approved loading techniques.
• Pick orders for customers throughout the shift in an efficient and safe manner ensuring product and pallets are not damaged.
• Transport self and/or freight continuously throughout the service center in a forklift on non-forgiving surfaces.
• Utilize RF Scanner to receive, pick and ship inventory.
• Read and interpret shipping labels, BOLs, Inbound and Outbound paperwork.
• Hand load, rewrap or stack freight as necessary.
• Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies (e.g. pallets, straps, load bars).
• Frequent contact with service center personnel; fast-pace and deadline oriented.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• 3+ years of recent forklift experience required
• Recent experience operating a Reach Truck
