The Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides medically necessary, appropriate personal care and community living supports to persons with intellectual developmental disabilities, persons with severe mental illness, and/or individuals with co-occurring diagnosis. The Direct Support Professional (DSP) may assist in areas of mobility, activities of daily living, communication, cognition, health management, social networking, vocational, leisure time management, and community participation.
