As an IPTL and Resource Manager, you will be responsible to provide leadership to the US Naval Design Engineering team to apply a systems approach to deliver and develop new and existing products lines. This includes assigning Design resources to support definition, planning, monitor, control and delivery to meet all agreed stakeholder requirements. The role will plan and deliver technical design solutions to the programs to ensure that Rolls-Royce's products meet the high standards of our business, customer and regulatory requirements.

Key Accountabilities- Oversee and manage a team of Naval US Design Engineers (SDI) to meet program-based requirements with focus on the Naval Gas Turbine Module product.
- Deputize for the Chief Design Engineer in technical reviews and discussions internally and with the customer
- Ensure the design solutions meet the highest requirements for safety and the customer defined requirements
- Define, agree and integrate the plan for the IPT, taking into account both the scope of the overall technical projects / Work packages and associated activities required to understand and then produce a solution to the requirements including delivery of robust verification, certification and qualification strategies
- Define the necessary resources required to achieve stakeholder requirements, and coordinate with program managers and capability managers when technical specialists are required, to balance load and capacity across the IPT.
- Ensure project risks (technical, cost, supply chain and timescale) are identified, managed (including integration of risk activities in project plan), and escalation of risks in accordance with risk management plan.
- Ensure IPT work is integrated with all relevant higher-level plans - including relevant Project Management Plan and Risk Management Plan

Basic Qualifications:- Bachelors Degree in Engineering with 5+ years experience, or
- Masters Degree in Engineering with 3+ years experience, or
- PhD in Engineering
- In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be eligible to obtain and maintain security clearance, which requires USA Citizenship
Preferred Qualifications - Design Engineer experience of complex systems and subsystems
- Experience in integration/system engineering
- Project/Function Management Engineering Experience
- Experience leading or managing a team for execution of a program or in support of a functional skillset
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment; willingness to accept responsibility and take initiative; and drive to finish assigned tasks on schedule
- An excellent command of the English language for both written and oral communications
- Familiarity with external customer interface as well delivery and testing experience at a system level.
