JOB TITLE: Design Drafter
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Schedule: Hybrid - 1 day remote + occasional adhoc flexibility
Reports To: Director of Electrical Projects

Overview

We're looking for a skilled Design Drafter to join our team and bring concepts to life through detailed 2D and 3D drawings. In this role, you'll work closely with engineering, production, and project teams to create accurate, high-quality designs using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.

What You'll Do

• Create and revise detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings based on project requirements
• Translate concepts, specifications, and field input into manufacturable designs
• Develop layouts and structural assemblies that integrate equipment, hardware, and in-house fabricated components (sheet metal & structural steel)
• Collaborate with drafting manager, shop personnel, and project teams to refine designs
• Research components and ensure proper fit, function, and spatial relationships
• Troubleshoot and resolve design issues efficiently and proactively
• Maintain drawing standards, revision control, and documentation accuracy

What You Bring

• Associate's degree or CAD certification
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with SolidWorks and AutoCAD (professional experience, not including schooling)
• Experience in manufacturing or metal fabrication environments
• Strong understanding of mechanical relationships and design intent
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams

Hours: 5:30 AM-4:30PM M-TH

• Background and drug screening required
