Job Title: Database Administrators Location: Espanola, NM Employer: 4Consulting, Inc Position Type: Full Time Worksite: Remote Position Summary 4Consulting, Inc is seeking a qualified Database Administrators to support technology consulting, application development, systems analysis, testing, data management, cybersecurity, infrastructure, or project delivery services for client projects. The selected candidate will perform duties consistent with the client's project requirements and company delivery standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The candidate will be responsible for: Install, configure, upgrade, patch, and maintain PostgreSQL database servers and enterprise database environments. Implement high-availability clusters, replication, disaster recovery, backup, and restoration procedures to support database resilience. Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, tune SQL queries, and optimize database objects, schemas, and resource utilization. Manage database access controls, perform routine maintenance, support database migrations, and collaborate with development teams to resolve database-related issues. Minimum Qualifications The position requires: Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience 4+ years of experience in PostgreSQL database administration, including 3+ years of hands-on EDB administration and experience with PostgreSQL 16 or later. Technical Skills PostgreSQL, EDB Postgres Advanced Server, SQL, Database Performance Tuning, EDB Failover Manager, Streaming Replication, Logical Replication, PgBouncer, Database Backup and Recovery, Database Security Business / Domain Skills Experience supporting enterprise database environments that underpin business-critical applications, data processing, reporting, and organizational technology operations. Experience designing, developing, enhancing, and integrating enterprise applications, APIs, interfaces, workflows, batch processes, and data-processing components supporting government programs. Experience managing relational database operations and data integrity, including schema design, database availability, backup and recovery, replication, access controls, disaster recovery, and data migration across enterprise systems. Experience collaborating with database administrators, data architects, developers, and analysts to resolve performance issues, optimize data access, maintain operational continuity, and establish reliable database maintenance and governance practices. Communication Ability to communicate with technical and business stakeholders. Documentation Ability to prepare project documentation, status updates, and deliverables. Work Authorization Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Sponsorship may be considered where permitted by company policy and project requirements. Certification Required PostgreSQL certification preferred Travel Required None Supervisory Role No Preferred Qualifications PostgreSQL certification and experience with Postgres Distributed (PGD). Experience with MongoDB, Oracle database environments, or Microsoft Azure. Experience with database monitoring, connection pooling, database migration, and enterprise backup and recovery tools.
