Job Title: Custom Closet Warehouse & Production Manager

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Warehouse & Production Manager to oversee the daily operations of our custom closet manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for managing warehouse inventory, production scheduling, quality control, shipping and receiving, and leading a team to ensure custom closet systems are manufactured accurately, efficiently, and delivered on time.

Key Responsibilities

Production Management

• Plan, schedule, and oversee daily production of custom closet systems.
• Ensure projects are completed on schedule while maintaining quality standards.
• Monitor workflow and allocate labor to maximize efficiency and productivity.
• Coordinate with Design, Sales, and Installation teams to prioritize production.
• Identify production bottlenecks and implement process improvements.

Warehouse Operations

• Manage all warehouse activities including receiving, storage, inventory control, staging, and shipping.
• Maintain accurate inventory of sheet goods, hardware, accessories, and finished products.
• Coordinate material replenishment to prevent production delays.
• Ensure proper organization, cleanliness, and safety throughout the warehouse.

Team Leadership

• Lead, coach, and develop warehouse and production personnel.
• Schedule employees and monitor productivity.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing training.
• Foster a positive, accountable, and team-oriented work environment.

Quality & Safety

• Maintain quality control throughout the manufacturing process.
• Ensure products meet company standards before shipment.
• Enforce OSHA safety standards and company policies.
• Promote continuous improvement in quality, efficiency, and workplace safety.

Operational Responsibilities

• Monitor production metrics, labor efficiency, and inventory accuracy.
• Collaborate with purchasing to ensure materials are available for upcoming projects.
• Assist in implementing lean manufacturing and warehouse best practices.
• Troubleshoot equipment, workflow, and production issues as they arise.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in warehouse, manufacturing, or production management.
• Experience in custom closets, cabinetry, woodworking, millwork, or furniture manufacturing strongly preferred.
• Proven leadership experience managing production and warehouse teams.
• Strong understanding of inventory management and warehouse operations.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read shop drawings and production documents.
• Experience with ERP, inventory management, or manufacturing software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Cabinet Vision or similar cabinet engineering software.
• Knowledge of CNC manufacturing processes.
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience.
• Forklift certification (or ability to obtain certification).
• Experience with barcode inventory systems and warehouse management software.
