JOB OVERVIEW Profession: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist Specialty: CRNA - General Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Tucson, AZ Service Setting: Inpatient Coverage Type: Clinical + Call Coverage Period: ASAP Ongoing Shift Schedule: Mon Fri, 8-hour shifts On-Call Shift Schedule: Weekdays and Weekends Call Type: Beeper Call Ratio: 1:5 Call Response Time: 30 minutes Reason for Coverage: Vacancy Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered by Agency PATIENT INFORMATION Average Daily Volume: 5 patients/day Phone Consults: 1 Case Mix: Endoscopy, General Surgery, Orthopedics, GYN robotics, Urology, Podiatry, Pulm/Bronc Lab, Gastro, OB, Cardiac/Thoracic/Structural heart FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: Cerner Support Staff: RNs: 20, PA/NPs: 5 PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: No Temporary Privileges Available: true REQUIRED PROCEDURES Required: General Anesthesia Adult Spinal Anesthesia Epidural Anesthesia Regional Anesthesia Surgery Neurosurgical cases Spine Complex vascular cases (except open heart) Complex orthopedic cases Pain management techniques Post-op epidural Post-op extremity blocks Ventilation management Evaluation and management of acute volume/BP issues Central Line placement Arterial Line placement PA Catheter placement Preferred: Pediatric Neonatal Trauma Obstetrical Cases Head Open Heart Anesthesia Thoracic cases (except open heart) Epidural steroid for Lumbar Epidural steroid for Cervical Transforaminal Lumbar Cervical Use of x-ray guidance in performance of blocks CRNA supervision JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: Certified Licenses: Licensed in AZ Certifications: ACLS, BLS Experience: Minimum one year of experience Other Qualifications: Must be comfortable practicing independently and performing peripheral nerve blocks; must provide case logs of blocks performed Duties & Responsibilities Provide anesthesia services across 4 designated facility locations. Perform independent anesthesia practice including peripheral nerve blocks. Participate in shared weeknight and weekend call coverage. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in surgical, endoscopic, and procedural settings. Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to facility-specific credentialing requirements.
