The Department of Ophthalmology at Wake Forest University School of Medicine, part of Advocate Healthone of the largest non-profit health systems in the United Statesis seeking a fellowship-trained Cornea Specialist to join our growing academic faculty at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist. This position offers a balanced academic career combining clinical excellence, teaching, research, and service in a collaborative environment.

Position Highlights
  • Provide advanced medical and surgical care for corneal and external eye diseases
  • Teach and mentor residents, fellows, and medical students in a robust academic training program
  • Participate in clinical research, industry-sponsored trials, and scholarly activity with strong institutional support
  • Engage in meaningful community and global service initiatives, including international medical missions and care for underserved populations

Requirements
  • Medical Degree (MD or equivalent)
  • Board certification or eligibility in Ophthalmology
  • Completion of a Surgical Cornea Fellowship
  • Eligibility for medical licensure in North Carolina
  • Active DEA license in North Carolina
