The Commercial Refrigeration Installation Specialist is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and testing various refrigeration systems primarily in indoor commercial kitchens, retail stores, supermarkets, industrial warehouses, and outdoor commercial facilities. This role requires frequent travel between job sites and collaboration within both small and large teams to ensure timely and high-quality installation and maintenance services. The specialist focuses on systems such as walk-in coolers/freezers, display cases, ice machines, and custom refrigeration units, maintaining high standards of safety and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Install commercial refrigeration units, including walk-in coolers, display cases, and ice machines
• Troubleshoot refrigeration system issues and perform necessary repairs
• Conduct system testing to verify functionality and efficiency
• Consult with customers regarding their refrigeration needs and system options
• Prepare technical reports documenting installation and maintenance activities
• Adhere to safety standards and ensure compliance on all job sites
• Manage inventory of parts and equipment required for installations
• Prepare job sites for installation activities and coordinate tasks with team members

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience in commercial refrigeration installation

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical certification in refrigeration or HVAC
• EPA Refrigerant Handling Certification
• Knowledge of refrigeration systems and electrical wiring
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Excellent customer service abilities
• Familiarity with safety standards compliance
• Effective time management and communication skills
