LHH Recruitment is partnering with a growing commercial real estate organization to hire their new Commercial Loan Manager to support its expanding portfolio. This role is central to the company's financing operations and offers strong visibility with leadership. The ideal candidate brings deep experience managing commercial loans end-to-end and thrives in a highly detail-oriented, deadline-driven environment.
Position Summary
The Commercial Loan Manager will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of commercial loan activity from initiation through closing and ongoing servicing. This role requires a hands-on professional who can independently manage complex loan processes, ensure compliance with lender requirements, and maintain accurate documentation across multiple transactions.
Core Responsibilities
Lead the execution of commercial loan transactions from initial setup through closing and post-funding follow-up
Review loan packages, agreements, and supporting documentation to confirm accuracy and completeness
Serve as the primary point of contact for lenders, legal partners, and internal stakeholders throughout the loan process
Ensure all reporting obligations, covenants, and deadlines tied to loan agreements are consistently tracked and met
Monitor loan performance and flag risks or discrepancies for resolution
Maintain organized, audit-ready records for all active and closed loan files
Coordinate timelines across multiple deals and keep projects moving efficiently
Support ongoing improvements to internal processes and documentation standards
Required Qualifications
Minimum 4+ years of experience managing the full lifecycle of commercial loans
Direct experience with commercial real estate financing (no residential or consumer lending backgrounds)
Background in a banking institution or similar financial environment strongly preferred
Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex loan workflows from start to finish
Strong understanding of loan documentation, compliance requirements, and financial reporting
High attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to prioritize competing deadlines in a fast-paced setting
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
Experience working with growing portfolios or high transaction volume environments
Exposure to financial systems or loan tracking tools
