CODE SPECIALIST City of Middletown The City of Middletown is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Code Specialist. Position actively inspects, investigates, responds to complaints, and follows up on property maintenance, nuisance, and zoning issues in order to ensure code compliance. Position requires issuing citations for offenses and, appearing and testifying in court when necessary. Work requires timely decision-making using independent judgment. Requirements: High school diploma or GED, valid Ohio Driver's license, International Code Council (ICC) Property Maintenance, Housing Code Specialist and Zoning Certification required on hire date or the ability to receive certification within 6 months of hire.
