Job DescriptionJob DescriptionAdecco is recruiting for a CNC Machinist / Welder for a client in East Syracuse, NY. This position is temp-to-hire, paying $20-25/hour with a small, family-run precision manufacturing company producing highly customized components for advanced technical applications.
The company is looking for someone with 2-5 years of hands-on CNC or manual machining, welding, or related tight tolerance / precision manufacturing experience who enjoys learning new skills and working in a clean, detail-oriented environment.

  • Operate and support CNC and manual machining equipment including mills and lathes
  • Perform TIG welding on small, precision components and assemblies, or train into TIG welding responsibilities based on prior experience
  • Assist with machine setup, machining, assembly, inspection, deburring, cleaning, and packaging activities as needed
  • Work with small, precision components requiring close attention to detail and quality and tight tolerance
  • Read and follow work instructions, drawings, and specifications
  • Support precision, custom and low-volume manufacturing projects
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-conscious work environment
  • Learn specialized manufacturing processes and gradually take on additional responsibilities over time

Qualifications:
  • 2-5 years of overall precision or custom manufacturing / machine shop experience preferred
  • Experience with CNC machining, welding, or related precision manufacturing processes
  • Candidates with exposure to both CNC machining and TIG welding are strongly preferred
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
  • Comfortable working with small parts and detail-oriented work
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities in a small-shop environment
  • Machine setup experience, manual machining experience (mills, lathes), inspection experience, or custom manufacturing experience are all considered a plus

Candidates with hands-on experience in CNC machining, manual machining, TIG or other welding, or custom/precision manufacturing who are eager to learn skills in each area and grow long-term with a small, family-run organization are encouraged to apply.
