CNC Machinist - Setup and Programming

Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist / Programmer for a direct hire opportunity with a well-established manufacturing company in Portland, OR. This position is ideal for an experienced machinist with strong setup experience, advanced G-code knowledge, and the ability to improve machining processes and tooling strategies.

This is a day shift position working four 10-hour shifts Monday-Thursday.

$32-$40/hr DOE
Monday-Thursday 5:30am-4:00pm
Direct Hire

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with the following:
? CNC horizontal mill setup and operation
? FANUC controls preferred
? Advanced G-code editing and troubleshooting
? Program prove-outs and process optimization
? Creating stable setups and improving run efficiency
? Blueprint reading and machine shop math
? Speeds, feeds, tooling selection, and fixture setup
? Precision inspection and quality verification
? Identifying and correcting machining issues proactively
? Process improvement in a production machining environment

Responsibilities:
? Setup and operate CNC machining equipment
? Prove out and troubleshoot new or existing programs
? Edit and optimize programs at the machine
? Analyze tooling, setups, and machining processes for improvement opportunities
? Verify dimensional accuracy using precision measuring tools
? Maintain quality standards and monitor machining performance
? Assist in improving setup consistency and machining efficiency
? Perform preventative maintenance and maintain clean, safe work areas

Qualifications:
? Strong CNC machining background required
? Advanced setup and troubleshooting experience required
? Strong understanding of G & M code
? Horizontal machining center experience preferred
? Ability to read and interpret blueprints independently
? Strong understanding of tooling, offsets, and machining strategies
? Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
? Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability
? Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment
? Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
