MACHINIST: CNC MILL AND/OR LATHE

COMPANY PROFILE:
Fluidyne Corp is a well respected prime contractor that manufactures custom valves for the Navy. The majority of our business supports the Navy's critical Nuclear Propulsion and Level I/Subsafe programs. Consequently, the quality of our product is vital to our success. Our facility is clean, well lit, and fully air conditioned.

WORK HOURS:
The position requires a 40 hour minimum work week, with 8 hours overtime always available. Our lunch period is 30 minutes. We do not work on weekends.

COMPENSATION PACKAGE:

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
CNC machinist applicants must have at least 3 years experience with the programming, set-up and machining of precision machined parts including castings and forgings. Machinists that are proficient with both CNC and manual equipment are preferred.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to produce parts per drawing requirements with minimal supervision.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND DETAILS:
This position is for the programing, set up, fixturing and operation of CNC lathe and/or mill. FeatureCAM and Fusion are utilized for programing. Training for both FeatureCAM/Fusion and the Okuma control (if applicable) will be available as long as the candidate has experience with similar software/control. Most parts are close tolerance and run quantities are very low. This is not a production shop. Fluidyne has an experienced staff that can provide guidance as necessary. Currently all lathes are 2 axis (no live tooling) and VMC's are 3 axis with a rotary table.
