CNC Lathe Machinist

CNC Lathe Machinist - Shaft Machining Join an Established Precision Machine Shop that is a family-owned CNC machine shop with a long history of supporting the defense and power utility industries. Join a skilled team working on challenging, high-precision components using advanced multi-axis CNC equipment. Job Responsibilities -Set up and operate CNC lathes to produce complex shafts and other precision components. -Develop and modify CNC programs using G-code and Fanuc controls for first-time and repeat jobs. -Perform in-process quality inspections throughout the shift, making program adjustments as needed to maintain tight tolerances. -Collaborate with the machining team to develop efficient, reliable setups and processes for challenging jobs. Requirements -Proven CNC lathe machining experience, including G-code programming and Fanuc controls. -Hands-on experience machining shafts, including work with steady rests and tailstocks. -Ability to inspect and measure work throughout the production process and maintain approximately 0.005" tolerances. -Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently as part of a small, experienced machining team. Preferences -Experience with DN Solutions (PUMA) CNC lathes and Fanuc 0i-Plus controls. -Experience machining tight-tolerance components from exotic or difficult-to-machine materials. Schedule & Benefits -Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM-3:00 PM, with approximately 1 hour of daily overtime until 4:00 PM; no weekends. -Full-time position with 401(k) matching and paid time off. -Pay Rate Range - 30-40 per hour+ Ready to put your CNC machining skills to work on challenging precision components?
