Cherry Picker Operator / Reach Truck operator

Job Summary

Complete Quality is seeking experienced Reach Truck Operators to provide warehouse support services under contract for a furniture distribution facility. This is a 1099 opportunity ideal for safety-conscious professionals with experience operating material handling equipment in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Contractors will be responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations, including material movement, inventory handling, order fulfillment, and shipping/receiving activities while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

• Operate reach trucks, forklifts, and other approved material handling equipment to move, store, and retrieve furniture products.
• Load and unload furniture and related materials from trailers and warehouse locations.
• Pick, stage, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
• Safely transport products throughout the warehouse while minimizing product damage.
• Assist with inventory counts, stock rotation, and location maintenance.
• Verify inbound and outbound shipments against shipping documentation.
• Maintain organized storage areas and staging locations.
• Perform pre-use equipment inspections and report any operational or safety concerns.
• Follow all facility safety requirements and operating procedures.
• Maintain a clean and professional work area.
• Communicate effectively with onsite management regarding workflow, inventory discrepancies, or safety issues.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of reach truck or forklift operating experience in a warehouse environment.
• Experience handling large, bulky, or heavy furniture products preferred.
• Ability to safely lift, move, push, and pull furniture throughout the shift.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations, shipping/receiving, and inventory processes.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to work independently and meet productivity expectations.
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment for extended periods.
• Must clear E-Verify and background

Preferred Qualifications

• Reach Truck Certification or previous certification experience.
• Experience in furniture distribution, home goods, or large-item warehouse operations.
• RF Scanner and Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience.

Work Environment

This position is performed in a furniture warehouse and may require:

• Standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.
• Handling oversized and heavy furniture products.
• Working in varying warehouse temperatures.
• Operating equipment in a busy warehouse environment.
