Job Description Summary:

The Electrophysiology APRN provides advanced practice care to patients with complex cardiac arrhythmias in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. Working collaboratively with electrophysiologists and multidisciplinary teams, the APRN is responsible for assessment, diagnosis, and management of heart rhythm disorders, while supporting procedural care and ongoing patient education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive cardiovascular assessments, including history, physical exams, and diagnostic interpretation
  • Manage patients with arrhythmias such as atrial fibrillation, SVT, and ventricular arrhythmias
  • Assist in the coordination and management of EP procedures (e.g., ablations, device implantation, loop recorders)
  • Provide pre- and post-procedural care and education for EP patients
  • Adjust medications including antiarrhythmics and anticoagulation therapies
  • Collaborate with electrophysiologists, cardiologists, and care teams to develop treatment plans
  • Participate in inpatient consults, rounding, and outpatient follow-up visits
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation in accordance with AdventHealth standards

Shift: Day

Qualifications:

  • Master s or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program
  • Current Florida APRN license and national certification (ANCC/AANP)
  • BLS and ACLS certification required
  • Electrophysiology or cardiology experience required
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
