Salary: $55,000 - $85,000 per year A bit about us: Our client is seeking an organized, detail-oriented Buyer to manage purchasing activities for custom industrial equipment projects. Working closely with project management and engineering, you'll request and compare supplier quotations, negotiate pricing and delivery terms, track orders, and help ensure materials arrive on schedule and within budget. The company has established supplier relationships and purchasing processes, providing a foundation for someone who can take ownership of day-to-day procurement while identifying opportunities to improve cost, availability, and service. Comfortable negotiating rates / RFQ proposals etc Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to compare supplier quotations and negotiate pricing and delivery terms. Ability to manage multiple orders, deadlines, and project requirements. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and purchasing documentation. Strong communication skills when working with suppliers and internal teams. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in industrial manufacturing, equipment manufacturing, mechanical contracting, oil and gas, or petrochemical environments. Familiarity with mechanical or industrial components, tubing, fittings, valves, instrumentation, or controls. Experience purchasing materials for custom equipment or project-based manufacturing.
