Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) II / Field Service
Must have minimum of 3-8 years experience in the repair and maintenance of medical equipment.
Seeking a a skilled and selfmotivated Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) Field Service professional to support the maintenance, repair, calibration, installation, and troubleshooting of a broad range of medical equipment in clinical environments.

This role supports general patient care equipment, specialty and advanced medical devices, and may include anesthesia systems. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently in a fieldbased role while serving as a trusted technical partner to clinical and administrative teams.

Key Responsibilities



  • Respond to service calls for medical equipment including:


    • General patient care devices

    • Specialty and advanced medical equipment

    • Anesthesia machines (as applicable)


  • Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, verification, and corrective repairs

  • Conduct preventative maintenance (PM) and quality assurance testing in accordance with:


    • Manufacturer specifications

    • Written procedures and regulatory standards


  • Prioritize service requests to meet responsetime and uptime expectations

  • Support equipment installations, acceptance testing, and lifecycle management

  • Assist with special projects and provide basic training to clinical or technical staff

  • Coordinate and support work performed by external service vendors

  • Accurately document service activities, repairs, and compliance records

  • Identify and source necessary parts, tools, and technical resources to ensure costeffective uptime

  • Maintain a professional presence while interacting with customers and stakeholders


  • The job entails a 3 days a week at a specific facility, and 2 days driving to other locations. A satisfactory driving history and ability to drive is a requirement.



    • Not required but a plus: Specialized training by manufacturer or third-party equipment repair for Anesthesia machines, Sterilizers, ultrasound, ventilators, etc., is a plus and will be considered when determining compensation.





Required Qualifications



  • Associates or Bachelors degree in:


    • Biomedical Equipment Technology

    • Electronics Engineering Technology

    • Or equivalent military technical training


  • 38 years of handson experience servicing medical equipment

  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills

  • Proficiency with biomedical test equipment and service tools

  • Valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record

  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly (field service role)

  • Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship



Preferred Qualifications



  • CBET certification (optional)

  • Manufacturer or thirdparty training in one or more of the following:


    • Anesthesia machines

    • Sterilizers

    • Ultrasound systems

    • Ventilators

    • Power Injectors (CT and MRI)


  • Experience leading or assisting with equipment installations

  • Experience supporting enduser or technical training initiatives
