Responsibilities
- Fully understand the project scope and requirements by studying documentation, meeting with clients, and visiting relevant locations
- Collect necessary documentation such as plans, drawings, and project specifications
- Determine the key variables for cost and conduct research to determine expected labor and materials costs
- Gather bids and negotiate with service providers to secure the best possible prices
- Generate your own leads and also actively work company-provided leads
- Create and submit estimates to project managers
- Confident and persuasive, comfortable asking for the sale
- Follow up consistently until the job is closed
- Build strong relationships with property managers, board members, and HOAs
- Thrives in a small-business environment where performance and results matter
- Write clear, accurate emails and quotes without reliance on AI
- Answer incoming calls and emails in a professional manner
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and dependable
- Diligent and detail-oriented, with a habit of double-checking work for accuracy
- Assist with general office, scheduling, and operational tasks as needed
- Previous experience as an Estimator is preferred (service & repair, construction, or related field)
- Ability to forecast costs and knowledge of estimation formulas
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Excellent research, writing, and negotiation skills
