Associate Attorney

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Law Associate with two to five years experience to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in legal principles and demonstrate proficiency in various aspects of legal case management, legal writing, motion practice and court appearances. This role requires excellent research and communication skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Conduct comprehensive legal research using tools such as Westlaw to support case preparation and strategy development.
• Manage legal cases by organizing documents, maintaining case files, and ensuring compliance with deadlines.
• Assist in the preparation and review of legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, and contracts.
• Conduct interviews with clients and witnesses to gather relevant information for cases.
• Maintain accurate records of case progress and documentation while ensuring confidentiality.
• Exhibit strong phone and email etiquette when communicating with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Appear in New Jersey Courts.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school is REQUIRED.
• NJ BAR ADMISSION IS REQUIRED.
• Proficiency in legal research techniques and familiarity with Westlaw or similar platforms.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in document review and case management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including interviewing techniques.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• Prior experience in legal administrative roles is a plus.
