This role requires an attorney who is capable of handling discovery from inception, motion practice, and has a proven track record of successfully defending clients in high-stakes litigation. This is an excellent opportunity to work with some of the leading attorneys in the field and to represent a diverse portfolio of clients in the legal industry. Responsibilities: Manage and oversee all aspects of litigation, including discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trials. Develop and implement defense strategies for complex asbestos, toxic tort, product liability, and insurance defense cases. Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements. Conduct legal research and analysis to determine the most effective defense strategy. Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations. Collaborate with team members, clients, and opposing counsel to ensure efficient case management. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of developments and changes in asbestos and toxic tort law. Comply with all legal standards and regulations. Qualifications: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Admitted to practice law in the state and in good standing with the state bar. 2-4 years of litigation experience - general litigation, insurance defense, or product liability all considered. Proven track record of handling discovery from inception, motion practice, and successfully defending clients. Asbestos or toxic tort defense experience is a strong plus. Strong writing, research, and deposition skills. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple complex cases simultaneously. High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical standards.
