Assistant Superintendent / Foreman

About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Assistant Superintendent / Foreman to support daytime or overnight operations for Big Box Retail Remodel projects. This role assists the Superintendent in coordinating on-site construction activities, maintaining safety and quality standards, and ensuring work progresses according to schedule while working closely with subcontractors, vendors, and the project team.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Superintendent in managing daily construction activities on an active remodel site.
Help enforce safety standards and maintain a clean and organized jobsite.
Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure work is completed per plans, specifications, and schedule.
Support the completion of daily reports and progress updates for the Project Manager and Superintendent.
Conduct regular jobsite walks to monitor progress and identify potential issues.
Assist in protecting existing store operations during remodel work, especially during overnight shifts.
Participate in planning meetings and support clear communication between day and night crews.
Help manage punch list items and turnover activities to meet aggressive schedule milestones.
Provide on-site leadership and support for field crews when the Superintendent is unavailable.

Qualifications:
1-3 years of experience in commercial construction as a Foreman, Assistant Superintendent, or similar field leadership role.
Experience with retail remodels, grocery stores, or occupied commercial spaces is preferred.
Basic understanding of construction drawings, schedules, and phased construction.
OSHA 30 certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work overnight shifts and travel as required (typically Sunday-Thursday nights).
Comfortable using construction management tools such as Wrike, ACC, PlanGrid, or similar platforms.
