Position Summary:

The Assembly Operator I in the Relays Department is responsible for precise assembly of electrical relay components used in aerospace applications. This role requires great attention to detail, the ability to follow detailed work instructions, and a commitment to quality and safety. The ideal candidate is a reliable team player, eager to learn, and takes pride in producing components that help power the future of aerospace technology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble relay components using hand tools, microscopes, and specialized fixtures
  • Inspect completed work and components to ensure they meet quality standards and are in line with engineering drawings
  • Conduct pull tests and quality checks as required
  • Use measuring devices such as calipers and gages for component verification
  • Accurately complete operational paperwork to maintain traceability of parts
  • Perform minor troubleshooting and repairs on equipment when needed
  • Maintain housekeeping and organization of your work area
  • Follow all safety guidelines, company policies, and procedures
  • Support production goals by being available for overtime when required
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Minimum one year experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Basic computer skills and good communication abilities
  • Experience using measuring devices (calipers, gages, etc.) preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Physically able to move materials up to 50 pounds and remain in a stationary position for extended periods
  • Proficient in understanding and following written instructions in English
  • Must meet U.S. work requirements per International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR): U.S. citizen or national, lawful permanent resident, admitted refugee or asylee
