Anatomic & Clinical Pathologist (AP/CP)

Located in the Northeast


Sant Consulting is representing a well-established physician-led pathology practice seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible AP/CP Pathologist to join a collaborative community hospital practice in the Northeast. We are conducting a national search for a pathologist interested in practicing broad anatomic and clinical pathology while serving in a laboratory leadership role.


This full-time position offers a unique blend of diagnostic pathology, laboratory administration, and hands-on practice in a collegial environment. The successful candidate will work closely with a small team of experienced pathologists, providing comprehensive pathology services while overseeing laboratory operations at an affiliated technical processing facility.


Required Qualifications

  • MD, DO, or equivalent

  • American Board of Pathology board certified or board eligible in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology

  • Eligibility for unrestricted medical licensure

  • Strong diagnostic skills in general surgical pathology and clinical pathology

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with clinicians and laboratory staff


Preferred Qualifications

  • Interest or experience in laboratory medical directorship

  • Experience with CAP accreditation and laboratory regulatory compliance

  • Strong leadership and organizational skills

  • Experienced pathologists and new graduates are encouraged to apply


Practice Description

Our client is a respected physician-led pathology practice providing comprehensive anatomic and clinical pathology services to a community hospital and affiliated laboratory. The position includes approximately 60% diagnostic anatomic and clinical pathology, 20% gross examination, and 20% administrative responsibilities, including oversight of laboratory operations as Medical Director of an affiliated technical processing facility. This is an excellent opportunity for a pathologist seeking a broad practice with meaningful leadership responsibilities in a supportive, collaborative environment.
