DIE SHOP SUPERVISOR
Were looking for a Die Shop Supervisor (day shift) for our Aluminum Extrusion client in the greater Youngstown, OH area.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS Include:
- 5+ years of experience in die correcting & polishing
- Must have supervised a Die Shop team
- Ability to read measurement tools (Calipers, gauges, micrometers, etc.)
- Experience with Continuous Improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing facility
- Must have above - average math skills
- Experience using a computer to track and log daily production
- Must be willing to participate in all required job & / or employment - related trainings.
- Ability to work overtime.
- HS Diploma/GED required
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Include:
- Supervise and manage Die Polishers, Die Correctors & Die Chasers on shift - for productivity
- Manage employee challenges on shiftattendance, performance, productivity
- Train Die Chasers on proper procedure, handling of dies and the die process
- Communicate with Extrusion Supervisors to review die failures and make die corrections as they come through the Die Shop
- Polish dies in between die corrections
- Move product and/or materials manually as required
- Assist on shift as needed (to replace a c/o or vacation, etc.)
- Comply with company policies, including, but not limited to, attendance and safety policies
- Work varying shifts and overtime per business needs and volume
- An individual in this role will be an effective communicator verbally and in writing, and this role requires individuals to read and follow written procedures in English
